Agent

Company/individual who prices, sells and registers your move with Energy Crew. A booking agent does not necessarily have to be located at or near the origin or destination of your move.

Agreement number

The number assigned to you by Energy Crew Moving & Transportation to identify your shipment. This number can be found in the upper left-hand corner of the Moving Agreement.

Bill of Lading (Contract/Moving Agreement)

A unique document which serves as a formal contract and lists the dates, services and actual charges involved in a move and the receipt for a customer's belongings. This is is the most important document because it serves to highlight the terms of service. It is important that you review it carefully (on both sides). Your signature will indicate that you agree with the terms enclosed. This document may also be used as a receipt.

Binding/Non-Binding Estimate

A binding estimate is an agreement made in advance with the mover that guarantees the total cost of the move based on the quantities and moving services shown on the estimate. A non-binding estimate is the mover's approximation of the cost based on the estimated quantity or weight of the shipment and the accessorial moving services requested. A non-binding estimate is not binding on the carrier and the final charges will be based on the actual duration of the move and moving services performed with the tariff provisions in effect.

Carrier

The professional mover(s) who provides transportation of your household goods.

Estimate

The mover's approximation of the cost based on the estimated quantity or weight of the shipment as well as costs for additional moving services requested by the customer.

High Value Article

An article of high or extraordinary value is any item whose value exceeds $100 per pound

Hazardous Materials

Explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives and radioactive materials. Many common household items are considered hazardous materials. These include nail polish remover, paints, paint thinners, lighter fluid, gasoline, propane cylinders, and automotive repair and maintenance chemicals.

Inventory

A descriptive and detailed list of goods in your move showing the number and condition of each item.

Travel time

Total amount of time spent driving from our truck yard to the first pick-up location and the time spent driving from the last stop back to our truck yard.

Valuation

The designated dollar value of your shipment
